Earthquakes ad plate tectonics,cause and effect

Another angle of looking at plate tectonic theory

The base of my theory is-some dates are more prone to major quakes than others ,why?
If plate tectonics can ignore some striking co-relation,there is no much hope for any headway by only working on stress strains and ground motions.
I think what we are doing is,interchanging effect as a cause. PLATES ARE THE EFFECTS OF QUAKES and not the cause.In the initial stage there were quakes first and than plates and later plate motions-
If we look with this angle,almost all flaws of plate tectonics can be resolved

Amit;

Actually, the convection cells in the mantle are the cause of both.

If you start with an unbroken crust and add the motion below it, it will start to break apart into the plates. That would cause huge quakes. Further motion would cause more quakes.

Now what does any of this have to do with planets?

But the motion below will not allow the crust to form at the first place.
while the crust was in the process of formation,the tidal force did not allow it to settle completely.Thus ,tidal force first formed the plates.
Once the plates are formed due to tidal force breaking it,convection currents stared to move it.

Amit;

Tidal force is not sufficient to break the crust.

Earth tide moves the crust about a foot. It does not break the crust in the process.

Also, the earth's mantle is not liquid.

sorry I could not make out ,what you want to say.

You both make sense.
Roger, stating the facts, are they are now.
Amit, thinking out of box and making sense, as of going back when the crust was forming, cause and effect.

Roger, do you have time to elaborate, for us newbies trying to learn.
Starting with unbroken crust, what will cause a movement below it, to then break the plates apart, do we see this often?

Thanks for all your work and time.

I have the time but not the talent.

Fortunately, it is not necessary. You have the computer, there is the internet, there is Google.

The answer is out there. Seek it out. Start with the USGS Earthquake Hazards site. It's filled with information.

Your are welcome Amit.
Thanks Roger, I understand...
Did use and found more info, a few programs but nada really good yet, will keep trying.
