First of all let me make it clear that, I am not explaining these quakes after they occurred. In fact ,these are my date hit major quakes..
Here, I am going to explain ,the time and place of occurrence, In fact these details are already mentioned in my personal diary
Two quakes on 19th April
1)6.6 at 1.04 UTC at 7 degree south and 156 degree East
2)7.5 at 13.28 UTC at the same location (almost)
Now note
1) the time of Moon at Maximum declination (and closer) at 12.55 UTC
Watch the time (13.28 UTC) and close relation to quake
Another quake (6.6 preshock ) was almost 12 hrs ahead of major quake.
THUS WHEN THE EARTH MOVED 180 DEGREES ,THESE SPOT AGAIN CAME UNDER TIDAL PULL
2) As far as location is concerned ,my theory states that quake will occur ,generally at locations where Moon or Sun reaches at that time. (in rare cases Jupiter can also cause location to shift)
Now in both cases SUN and Moon are as follows
1) Quake 6.6......SUN at 160 east (and opposing side 20 degree west)
and Moon....37 degree East ( and 143 degree west --opposing side)
2)Quake 7.5.....SUN 25 degree west (155 degree east)
......Moon 143 degree West (38 degree East)
Thus quake could occur at 140 to 160 degree East
or
20 to 40 degree West

Quake times are given in UTC so if they are 12 hours apart it means the earth has rotated 180 degrees.

ReplyDeleteYes. This is exactly what I am saying. After 12 Hrs Earth moves 180 degrees and the location goes to opposite side of the Earth.
However, as you are aware ,tidal pull applies to both sides of the Earth ie the 180 degree away (opposing) locations get the high tide simultaneously and almost of equal magnitude
THIS SHOWS QUAKES ARE AFFECTED BY TIDAL PULL.
You must have seen ,when I predict locations (though rarely),I give both locations ,180 degree apart
I think , I could explain this to you properly

ReplyDeleteYes but quakes at the same time on opposite sides of the earth are extremely rare.
Besides, moon phase has nothing to do with quakes anyway.

1) 12 Hts
2) 24 Hrs
3)7 and half days
or
4)15 days
After these time lapses Moon (or potent position again occurs at the quake location or 180 degree apart

"a major quake can trigger quakes far away all over the globe,which is termed as -dynamic triggering*
I have been telling this from last 15 years or so.

I would like to correct the notion of dynamic triggering by
" potential week or fortnight" which causes such spat of quakes.
when the potent position slowly fades away in a week or fortnight ,the trend disappear
Long ago , I have predicted that April second and third week will witness major quakes

ReplyDeleteI looked at all the 6+ quakes in the neic catalog (1973-2013). If I found a mag 7.5+ quake I called it a main quake and started finding the time to the next quake, counting the number by hours. This continued for 8 days or until the next main quake, whichever came first.
There is no peak at 12 hours or any multiple thereof including 7 1/2 days.
Your theory is wrong.
I'd post the table but the web software would mess it up.

the name of the person posting ie giving "anonymous " as name.
