One case proves nothing. You gotta get statistical!

Of all the 6+ quakes in that area, how many happened at sunrise?

Do not count only Sun rise.
      First...Zenith and Nadir of Moon/Sun
      Second..rising/setting of Moon/Sun

      Will do one thing
Select any one month of your choice.
We will check how many of 6+ quakes follow this hypothesis
      Or
Shall I select one month randomly
      Say November 2022 (UTC time)

    Amit;

November will do provided you haven't already looked at it.

    No cheating allowed!

PS: a longer period is required for accuracy, years, not a month.
    That's where computers come in.

How if you select any year (January to December) for this.
However ,what I suggest ,to avoid tedious work ,to select 7+ ,instead of 6+

  6. Here are cross checking of major quake epicenter hypothesis for the year 2022
There are in all 11 number of 7+ quakes in the year 2022.
No quake which is 7+ in 2022 is left out and the year is not selected by me.
So choosing and hand picking or cherry picking allegations can not sustain

    1)7.3 quake ,Japan ,6.th March 2022 ( 6.3.22) at 14.36 UTC.
.....Sun is at Nadir..36 degree West

    2)7.0 quake , at Loyalty Island, 31.3.2022,at 5.44 UTC...
    .Sun setting..sharp at epicenter

    3) 7.2 at Peru on 26.5.2022 at 12.02 UTC...
    Sun Rising..twilight zone
4)7.0 , at 120degree East ,27.7.2022 ,at 00.43 UTC ..Sun Rising..( not sharp..1 hr window)

    5)7.6 ,at PNG ,10.9.2022,at 23.47 UTC..
    ..FIRST MISS ...

    6)7.0 ,on 14.9.2022 at 11.04 UTC at 21 S and 170 E,..
..Sun is at 8 E ..ie at Nadir with 1 hr margin
    Or 18 degree longitudes out

    7)7.6, at Maxico ,on 19.9 2022,at 18.05
    UTC,...18 N ,103 W
.Sun is at 93 W ..so at Zenith
    8) 7.0 ,Fiji ,on 9.11.2022 ,at 9.51 UTC ,
    178 E..
..Sun setting..However...1 hr 20 minutes after Sun set
    9)7.3, Tonga,11.11.2022 at 10.48 UTC
    at 172 W....
...Sun is at 14 E ..So sharp at Nadir
    10) 7.0 ,on 12.11.2022 ,at 7.09 UTC
    at 178 W...Sun setting..
    11) 7.0 ,on 22.11.2022, at 2.03 UTC at
    160 East...Sun is at 150 E ..Zenith

Thus out of 11 major ,7+ quakes, we have
    7 quakes exciting following
    2 in margin of + or - 1 hr
1 is out side margin..1 hr and 20 minutes
    1 Miss

    Amit;

You have 4 significant times, each 2 hours wide so odds are 8/24 of a hit by chance.

You beat the odds by a wide margin so your method may be significant but only a much larger test will count as proof.

I'm struggling with Truebasic but if/when I get it working right, I'll test a large sample of 7+ quakes against the sun position and we'll see what we get.
