Question -4 to Plate Tectnics Get ready.... Have a look at these Earthquakes 1) 9th June 1994...8.3...Bolivia. at 636 km depth 2) 19th August 2018 ..Fiji.. at 00.19 UTC.......8.2.. 600 km depth 3) 6th September 2018..Fiji.at 15.49 UTC.. 7.9 at 67o kms depth Now question is... How do you explain deeper quakes. Plate thickness is say 100 kms. What causes major deeper quakes? at a depth where there is no plate only may be mentle transion zone. The (flimical) explanation given by plate tectonics is like this... . At subduction zone hard ocean crust go below and reach up to 600 or 700 kms. There are several chemical changes in the -slab-minerals (the plate going below is renamed as Slab) Say Serpentine mineral to Olivine mineral And Oivine mineral to Olivine Spinel mineral These chemical changes releases water and energy.Hence deeper quakes. Now The temp increases 1 degree every 100 mtr. So at 70 km or more depth no plate or (Slab?) can remain Solid. How dies this liquefied plate ( Slab?) reaches at a depth of 700 km to make chemical changes What I believe is.. Just to defend plate tectonics any vague explanation is given by giving some fancy names to plate and minerals All seismolist in general and U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in perticular is requested to explain this.. Answer with new hypothesis will be given tomorrow

 Question -4 to Plate Tectnics

Get ready....

Have a look at these Earthquakes

1) 9th June 1994...8.3...Bolivia.

at 636 km depth

2) 19th August 2018 ..Fiji..

at 00.19 UTC.......8.2.. 600 km depth

3) 6th September  2018..Fiji.at 15.49 UTC..

7.9 at 67o kms depth

Now question is...

There are several chemical changes in the -slab-minerals

(the plate going below is renamed as Slab)

Say Serpentine mineral to Olivine mineral

And

Oivine mineral to Olivine Spinel mineral

These chemical changes releases water and energy.Hence deeper quakes.

Now

The temp increases 1 degree every 100 mtr.

So at 70 km or more depth no plate or (Slab?) can remain Solid.

 How dies this liquefied plate ( Slab?) reaches at a depth of 700 km to make chemical changes

 What I believe is..

Just to defend plate tectonics any vague explanation is given by giving some fancy names to plate and minerals

All seismolist in general and U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in perticular is requested to explain this..

Answer with new hypothesis will be given tomorrow

    Amit;

    I have no idea but I'm not here to educate you even if I did know.

    Buy some books perhaps.

    I am not asking you to reply. This question is open for all who are expert in plate tectonics and ardently believe it is the only theory ( and keep their eyes and mind closed for anything else.
    I have studied a bit of it .
    In fact I am not asking to learn but openly challenge the basics of theory

    Amit;

    I apologize. My post was thoughtless and rude.
