Let us do simple thing first,checking epicenter hypothesis.
1)Take any 100 numbers of 6+ quakes
2) note down Lat long of epicenter
2) check the postion of Moon and Sun ,Zenith, Nadir ,rising and setting

A double sine wave pattern shows ,the lo actions were Moon and Sun are rising and setting.
